Three Contra Costa County men have been arrested in connection with recent robberies targeting the Asian American-Pacific Islander community throughout the Bay Area, San Jose police said Monday.
The trio, suspected in a string of armed and strong-arm robberies from December to February, were identified as 26-year-old Joel Contreras Barron of Antioch, 28-year-old Francisco Rincon of Richmond, and 26-year-old Juan Rodriguez-Ramirez of Richmond.
Investigators say the men are connected to 13 robberies, five grand thefts, and countless vehicle burglaries around the region.
San Jose detectives, working with police in San Pablo Santa Clara and Stockton, identified the suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest, in addition to search warrants for their homes.
On Feb. 25, Rodriguez-Ramirez was arrested by Stockton Police for robbery and remains in custody.
On April 14, 2023, a string of vehicle burglaries happened at the Grand Century Mall and San Jose police located a car associated with a suspect. Contreras Barron was taken into custody in connection with the vehicle burglaries and his outstanding arrest warrant.
On April 26, San Jose police’s covert response unit located and arrested Rincon in Richmond.
The suspects were booked at Santa Clara County Main Jail and San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of multiple felony crimes.

AAPI is a new one on me. Had to look it up to see what it even meant. I guess everyone wants a label nowadays.
I think the subject is the thefts.
not if you’re a OANN or Newsmax watcher
Well I’m a WASP and everyone else don’t matter..
AAPI been in the news for more than a year – when the violence against Asians really became pronounced maybe 2 yrs ago…. anyway – these thugs have no remorse…. Becton have them out yet? … she wouldn’t want to inconvenience them by missing dinner
ICYMI: May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Since 1990, during the presidency of George H. W. Bush, the U.S. government has designated the month of May as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, celebrating the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the United States. According to the 2010 Census, almost three-quarters of all Asian Americans live in California, New York, Texas, New Jersey, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington, Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. 27 percent of Bay Area residents — around 2 million people — identify as Asian American or Pacific Islander.
Or you could have just read the article. It was in the first sentence.
Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage and Mental Health Awareness Month
From the Contra Costa Library System: May is both AAPI Heritage and Mental Health Awareness Month. The Library’s Celebrate Diversity page contains the information you need to help celebrate the month. Library staff have curated booklists for all ages that feature Asian American Pacific Islander voices.
You will also find special events that are happening throughout the month. The post, How are you? How are you really doing?, spotlights the mental health challenges the AAPI community faces and offers links to several resources and organizations that provide support.
Just look at the DA’s track record.
You’ll see what will happen to these sad people.
Maybe they could also locate the people who fence all of this stuff. I wonder if they ever check the rummage sales at the drive in theatres for stolen merchandise. With open borders this thievery will never stop. Are these three out on bail already? How much time will they get? We always see the beginning of these cases but never find out the outcome. We need some reporter in the courts reporting on court outcomes.
Rabid dog treatment.

The Three Stooges
The one smirking really needs to be put in his place. Too bad CA won’t allow that to happen with actual consequences.
Armed and strong-armed robberies. That needs to be remedied. Wow what a fine trio of turkeys.
Have no fear, Governor Newsom has requested federal funds to finance a five year pilot program to study the root cause of Strong-Arm Robbery. The results will be collated over a two year period and a comprehensive report should cross Newsom’s desk approximately 2030 give or take a few years. At that point, by golly these people will be held to account………..
As ridiculous and funny as your statement is, that’s exactly what will happen. The media will promote it as a brilliant idea and say that proves Newsum is tough on crime and the millions of simple thinkers in this state will love him for it .The insanity continues here in California .
These men are the lowest of the low and should be put away for their crimes. What I hate to see if idiots asking for immigration status like it matters. if you commit a crime than you must face the consciences, regardless of who you are. I am sure these “Men’s” parents are or were hard working people who spoiled these brats, so that they would not suffer like they did. now all grown and not knowing a struggle in life they feel entitled to just take what they want. I seen it happen to often its just sad that humanity has lost our humanity.
