As we previously reported back in March, Angry Chickz “Nashville Hot Chicken” will be opening in the Clayton Valley shopping center on Ygnacio Valley Rd. in Concord.

They recently installed their new sign on the building, and plan to open within one week.

The chicken restaurant, which also has a location in Brentwood, will be moving into the old Wing Stop location, a few doors down from Panera Bread.

A great place to passively agressively bring husbands?

I hope they do well.

I saw a new Ice Cream/Coffee Shop in Downtown Clayton this weekend. Has anyone gone there?

I have numerous times. Happy to see it busy and off to a good start. My gym used to be in that location. This is kind of an “anti-gym”. I like it!

“anti-gym!” That’s rich!

I won’t ask what their pronouns are

I definitely won’t be eating there. My husband is a throat cancer survivor and he can’t tolerate blasting hot food and I don’t like my food hot and Spicy either.

Well you’re a buzz kill.
.
Not even giving the opportunity to display their menu. Instead, it’s an instant “no” from your household. You might be missing out. Then again, you’re probably just a sour soul.

Bunny….One opened in Brentwood. My son just drove by for a few weeks cause the line was crazy. Around the building. He finally stopped (he loves hot) and loved it. He took me and I got regular wings. Not hot and still good and tasty. I would recommend giving it a shot. For the hot stuff they make you sign a waver which is online and is very funny. Look it up. They pump a bunch of chicken in and out of there, so it’s always fresh and good size wings.

E.Bunners,
Living in the Nashville area, we have more hot chicken places than Boston has Dunkin Doughnuts, and they all have a spice spectrum. I like hot, but I can’t do the extra hot. My daughter likes medium, and my wife likes mild. The mild has flavor without the heat, but they also have unseasoned that is better than KFC. I suggest starting out at the low end and working your way up.

Don’t get the whole super spicy thing. I like it in tempered levels that compliments the dish.

Who wants to be hurting while eating?

Apparently, you don’t have the spicy gene.

I have a friend who is native Mexican and he can’t eat spicy/hot food. It totally tears up his innards.

Personally, I’m a ‘medium hot’ n savory foodie..

I like the concept (having just learned what Nashville Chicken is, at least what I think it is), but unfortunately, in my dotage, I am no longer able to intestinally tolerate fried food. Might have to try it after peeling off the breading. Oh, to have the days where a box of Brown’s chicken would last but 20 minutes (along with the fried mushrooms).
