Great difference between Clayton and antioch, Clayton has large square footage houses on larger lots giving the city a larger parcel tax base. antioch allowed smaller square footage homes on postage stamp sized lots giving a smaller parcel tax base and city allowed high density housing. One high crime area Sycamore has three burned out high density units boarded up and they’ve been that way for going on a year.

In short past liberal city councils of antioch made really, really bad decisions.
Further responsibility for antioch’s dire plight are uninformed voters and those who don’t bother to vote.

Stark differences between Clayton and antioch which is an example of how liberal knee jerk fantasies can harm a city.

Also the freeway and Bart go to Antioch and so do criminals. Clayton has section 8 housing just not as much. Growing up in Clayton was one of the greatest gifts in life. Nothing to worry about except being home when the streetlights came on. And Saturday night mass at St Bonaventure.
Clayton is still a very decent positive place to live. Clayton is holding its own keeping things on the up, the Olivia project will never be finished it probably won’t ever be started and remember it’s the state that is pushing this on Clayton not so much the residents themselves, in fact I’d guess 95% of Clayton does not want the Olivia project unfortunately several city council members are pushing for it but again the state is pushing them on the matter the state is basically forcing Clayton to build this.
I’m sure Clayton will continue to uphold their positive outlook even with the very low minority percentage of people trying to force Clayton to go the other way and turn into another Concord..
Clayton should worry about the Olivia Project downtown….It will change Clayton Negatively Forever

It already has been negatively changed, and the Olivia will only add to that.

Oh some people have greatly tried to negatively change the city of Clayton but it is not working the tide has turned back the other direction and several of those families have actually moved out of Clayton and we all know who the one family was and it was good riddens don’t let the door slam your butt on the way out.
There are more than enough people in Clayton to keep it in nice town and not let it negatively go down the toilet like so many other cities in the area.
Pay no attention to the large diversity banner and inclusiveness banner that is constantly flown as you enter Clayton..it ain’t happening.

Some people have already negatively changed Clayton and they’re still here. Not sure to which family you’re referring. And that banner at the entrance, “Do The Right Thing”, is a joke. Just who does anyone in Clayton think they are to tell anybody to do the right thing? Or to tell anybody to do ANYTHING for that matter?
Our police department is the greatest. Glad to see Clayton residents speak out against the Olivia on Marsh Creek Project. We need to send developers a strong message… If you want to build in Clayton, you better be ready to provide adequate “onsite” parking.
