If you are shredding legal documents I wouldn’t use the long strip shred as seen in the picture above. I would use the micro cut size for that which is more secure. I’m not sure what type of shredder they have but I’d check before you shred. The long strips can contain a whole line of information in a document.

Most everyone had a 55 gal drum in their backyard. Burning the weekly papers and such was standard practice. Neighbors would coordinate time, so not to burn when folks had laundry on the line.
