California Highway Patrol officers had shut down southbound Interstate Highway 880 in the Fremont area as of midday Tuesday following a shooting Saturday that killed a 5-year-old girl, CHP officials said.
Officers may be looking for additional evidence of that shooting.
A shutdown occurred at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday around Auto Mall Parkway and another started at 11:36 a.m. at Fremont Boulevard.
