Who remembers when Circus Vargas used to coming to town for a few days every year?
They’d set up in a shopping center (in 1978 it was Park-N-Shop) in the middle of June with over 200 animals, including elephants, horses and bears.

Don’t remember them in Concord but went to see them in Downtown Oakland in the early 70″s As a kid I was amazed.
Yes, I remember going two or three times over the years.
Couldn’t really do that now, could you? Society is against corralling up animals….including the human- animals who are pouncing on innocent citizens.
