Sarah Jane (Wagner) Meyer – 1945-2023 (Concord)

Sarah Meyer was born and raised in Portland, Oregon to Charles and Jane Wagner.

She lived in Concord for 55 years with her loving husband, Leon Dennis Meyer {passed away March 21, 2000} where they raised their family.

She passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023 at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA surrounded by her family.

Sarah Meyer was an LVN, St. Agnes School Librarian, worked at the Family Life Office and was Executive Administrative Assistant to Catherine Fresquez.

Sarah is survived by her children, Christine Wood (David Wood), Catherine Fresquez (Dennis Fresquez), Dennis Meyer (Denise Meyer) and 6 beautiful grandkids – Matthew Fresquez, Andrew Wood, Eli Fresquez, Haley Meyer, Sarah Wood and Meaghan Meyer.

She was a longtime active parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church and served and volunteered on numerous parish committees. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court #1934, John Baptist de la Salle.

She enjoyed being a part of the Red Hats Society, sewing, golfing, camping, Square Dancing, cooking for her family and friends, and playing Bridge.

Visitation is Thursday March 23rd at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday March 24th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Concord, Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be sent to: St. Jude’s Hospital (www.stjude.org), American Cancer Society(donate.cancer.org), or Children of Grace {www.childrenofgrace.com}.
