Angry Chickz, which is described as “Nashville Hot Chicken,” will be opening a restaurant in the Clayton Valley shopping center on Ygnacio Valley Rd. in Concord.

The chicken restaurant, which also has a location in Brentwood, will be moving into the old Wing Stop location, a few doors down from Panera Bread.

An exact opening date hasn’t been announced.

I grew up in Nashville but never heard of Nashville Hot Chicken until we retired and moved back here. Apparently, it was a North Nashville thing, and I grew up in East Nashville, but here’s the story: The history of Nashville hot chicken: How a spurned lover burned millions of mouths

Good luck with that location the parking availability absolutely sucks there.

Wingstop did just fine until their quality tanked. The parking will not be an issue for most you just have to walk a few extra steps unless you are lazy…

No, Wingstop left cause parking sucked,..

Not even possible.

And if some insider “told you” that was the issue, they are a lying liar who lies. I’ve lived in that area and shopped at that center for decades — we’re regulars at Pet Food Express, Grocery Outlet, Round Table, and Yogurt Shack. We also visit that particular T-Mobile when needed.

Our family frequented that Wingstop as well but had to stop going because their wait times became absolutely unacceptable (hour for dine-in, several times before we gave up on them). Parked right in front of the building every time, too. Order ahead was often turned off because they couldn’t manage their business and driving to the Pleasant Hill location was faster for both pick-up and dine-in.

It was ABSOLUTELY a complete failure of management at that location. They were constantly understaffed and couldn’t anticipate their rushes.

💯

Did Wingstop have quality!🤔

lol parking is just fine over there

Here’s a little secret…..
Jollibee’s chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy.

What is with the Olive Garden OBSESSION in Claycord?!? That place is FOUL and (at least back in the 2000s) it was all pre-made in plastic bags that they heated up in boiling water, cut open, and served. Tasteless, bland drivel.

I’m just going to assume that the Olive Garden thing is an inside Claycord.com joke that I seem to have missed, because this CANNOT be serious.

You must be new here.
Wait until it warms up and all the Corn Snakes come out of hibernation.

Better be cheaper than Wing Stop.

I wish them luck. In your opinion what is the best chicken place in the area?

don’t cook tonight, call…

“Chicken Delight!” I loved their chicken when I was a kid.
I think one still exists…..

19 Chicken Delights left…. all in Canada.

Chicken Delight was very popular at the Sub School Barracks in New London, back in the day.

Popeye’s imho … dip the chicken into their mashed potatoes & gravy

Most of wing stop business was door dash orders from Pittsburg. That’s probably why they were so just all the time.

That means more of “those people” will be coming from over the hill in east county for the chicken… I wonder if they will pay or just walk out without paying?
