The following is from the Walnut Creek Police Department:

Residential Burglary Suspect is In Custody and Charges are Filed

Keith Stevenson, a 42-year-old resident of Brentwood, remains in custody on $1.87 million dollar bail after being arrested for several residential burglaries in Walnut Creek and in parts of unincorporated Contra Costa County.

On January 26, at 10:26 am, Walnut Creek Police officers were dispatched to a call of a residential burglary in the 400-block of Castle Rock Rd. Units arrived on scene within three minutes and located the suspect fleeing in a vehicle. Officers pursued the suspect eastbound on Ygnacio Valley Rd. but had to terminate the pursuit due to the suspect’s reckless driving.

After an extensive investigation by patrol officers and detectives, Stevenson was identified as the burglary suspect and a probable cause warrant was obtained. Detectives also learned Stevenson was a suspect in residential burglary cases being investigated by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office.

Stevenson was arrested on WCPD’s warrant in San Francisco on March 7.

On March 9th, Walnut Creek PD and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office jointly presented their cases to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney’s Office filed the following charges:

• Penal Code 459 – Burglary (Felony, Three Counts)
• Vehicle Code 2800.2 – Reckless Evading (Felony)

Is he out yet?

Mr Stevenson must have quite a few priors, and a long rap sheet, to call for a $1.87 million bail.

Plea bargain down to malicious mischief.
Becton says OK. Time served. Have a nice day. Try not to do it again.

I’ve never heard of $1.87 million bail for burglary. The higher the better. Keep him in jail where he belongs.

That’s a big number, there must be more to this story.
However it does not go unnoticed the prior Claycord bulletin announced the arrest of an 18 year old for shooting and car jacking. Yet there is no mention of bail for a much more violent crime.

And he’s not in custody according to the inmate locator

The cops should take that SOB into a private locked room, and give him a beating that he will never forget.

@ Greg ~ Then tie him to a chair and make him watch “The View” 27/7 for a couple weeks.

I was gonna say kill him but this is much better!

OK. It doesn’t happen often, but this really cracks me up.
Watching The View would be like a modern day Clockwork Orange. Couple of weeks? Heck most people would crack the first day!
The only thing I can think of that would be worse would be having bamboo shoots wedged under your fingernails while listening to Kamala Harris cackle.

They can’t… THEY’LL go to prison for life.
Maybe you and some of your friends can do it for them.

From Brentwood, huh? Usually these reports always say from Pittsburg, Antioch, Richmond, or Oakland. Nice to have some diversity for a change.

Now showing in custody as of this morning…… “No Results. There were no exact matches for your search”

Also, both of the hit-run killing suspects are no longer in custody or don’t come up in the search
