More than 155,000 PG&E customers in the Bay Area were without power by early Tuesday afternoon as an atmospheric river continued to lash the region with strong winds and rain.

PG&E officials reiterated a warning to never touch downed wires, and assume that downed power lines are energized and extremely dangerous.

Report downed power lines immediately by calling 911 and by calling PG&E at 1-800-743-5002.

Our power went off for a few seconds and then back on and we are very close to an area that is out. Yesterday I bought a couple of battery operated lanterns to add to my collection. This morning I was outside and thought what wind were talking about. Sitting here with my legs crossed hoping are power stays on.

Buy your generators and other small-engined equipment BEFORE 2024.

You can always get natural gas fire generators. Many of those are hardwired into your house. They are usually easier because they take their fuel directly from your natural gas line and they don’t need gasoline. They are cleaner too.

Mine’s running right now. So glad we got one.

And those too are slates to be banned in 2024.

Power was out here in Martinez for about 5 hours. I was anticipating power outages since the first storm that came through. Had my battery powered lanterns, battery radio, charging station and camp stove ready to go. No problems and it was rather nice to have time without electronic devices!
