There remain some details to iron out but the National Weather Service says confidence has increased in potential impacts from an atmospheric river late Thursday into Friday.
Monitor the forecast and consider preparing for the possibility of heavy rain and flooding.

“… consider preparing for the possibility of heavy rain and flooding.”

The public should have been preparing a few days ago. If only preparing now, then those people will not truly be prepared.

BRING ON THE STORM.

Big storm coming to California and ole Gavin reportedly has the sniffles and will be in isolation. Hmmm! Anyone want to wager that he’s hightailing it out of State? A move right out of the Biden playbook. All speculation on my part of course. If there is one lesson to be learned from all of these politicians, it’s that everyone needs to be prepared to take care of themselves, their families and their neighbors when the next crisis hits. Do not rely on the clowns for anything.
I forget, did the Texas governor and members of the Texas state legislature leave when that emergency took place?

Hmm, what happened to all the warmer temps we were supposed to have beginning Friday? Must’ve decided it was a bad idea. Really tired of cold weather. I didn’t move here for that. Even in the non-drought years spring would have sprung by now.
Who says politicians need to hang around their state when bad news is gonna hit. Can’t say I blame them for what I tell it out of here for better weather somewhere else.
I guess I am old enough to recall when we called it a blank load of rain, or a rain storm, instead of the “atmospheric river.” I get it, naming weather scenarios to make them more colorful, or ominous, depending upon the motivation.
They could really ramp-up the entertainment value of a normally bland weather report by calling the little rain events ‘atmospheric creeks’, and the mega-whopper rain storms ‘atmospheric tidal waves’.

Just like Ted Cruz left Texas huh?
Exactly! Just goes to show that there is weakness and self serving behavior on both sides of the aisle.

It’s just another attempt by prime-time TV to keep their followers entertained.
