UPDATE: Concord Police Release Information On Officer Involved Shooting

The following information is from the Concord Police Department:

On March 4, 2023 at approximately 3:30pm, Pleasant Hill Police Officers were in pursuit of a vehicle whose occupants had just committed a robbery at a Verizon Store in their city.

The Pleasant Hill PD Officers chased the vehicle to Harrison St. off of Concord Ave. in Concord and attempted to detain them.

The driver of the suspect vehicle drove at one of the officers.

The officer then shot at the driver, striking only the suspect vehicle, and did not hit the occupants. The passenger of the suspect vehicle fled on foot and the driver left the area in the vehicle.

Concord Officers pursued the suspect vehicle along with Contra Costa Sheriff Deputies, and he was arrested in Bay Point.

Investigators are still working on locating the second suspect who fled on foot.

The uncaptured suspect is described as an adult Black female, 25-35 yrs, 5’5”, 200+ lbs, long black braided hair, white shirt, black leggings, accordingto police.

Interesting, and troubling, that a 5’5″ 200 lb. female on foot could elude the police.

Do you think maybe it had something to do with the fact that they chose to chase the guy in the car instead? You know, the one who tried to run over the police officer?

A 5 ft. 5”, 200+ lb.. black woman in her 20’s-30’s with long black braided hair evading the police? There are cameras everywhere. They know who she is by now.

Wait..2nd criminal was a female 5’5″ 200lbs and running (more likely waddling) they couldn’t catch her in a foot pursuit? Wow…
Cops got tough jobs nowadays but wtf.

Perhaps you should read the article closer. Nobody said there was a foot pursuit. They just know she got out of the car in that area and there are tons of places to hide. If the police had actually spotted her, she definitely would not have been able to get away.

Will not be surprised if we learn suspects were already on parole or probation,
considering CA’s woke politicians reluctance to hold criminal fully accountable for their actions.

On a side note, does anyone know if our district attorney has a term limit? Or are we stuck with this idiot until someone with guts runs against her?

The District Attorney serves 4 years. Diana Becton won the primary with 35% of voters on June 7, 2022. Becton received campaign donations from George Soros’ group called the California Justice and Public Safety committee. This group wants to transform the justice system and this leaves citizens in a more vulnerable position. Mary Knox was a better candidate with more experience than Becton, but voters and $ from unsavory groups made this bad decision for the county.

Mostly accurate description, short white t shirt cropped and more like a half top. Gut hanging out while running across concord Ave. Hair is mostly a long pony tail

I was thinking the same thing. While we don’t know the circumstances, this article implies the officer shot at the driver hitting only the car. If I’m able to put rounds on a vehicle that was just driven at me, I’m aiming at the glass and wouldn’t stop until empty. Hopefully, this is more or less what actually went down.

Did they find this person? Any updates?

Hopefully law enforcement has staked out local bakeries; she’s bound to turn up eventually.

All were high value targets. Neutralize them and this will send a message to other would be criminals.
