Pleasant Hill and Concord Police are in pursuit of at least two different subjects. One is in a vehicle, the other fled on foot from that vehicle.

The subject on foot was last seen near Harrison St. and Concord Ave., in Concord. The subject in the vehicle is currently fleeing east on highway 4, with officers in pursuit.

There was a call of shots fired in the general area of Market St., but it’s unclear who was shooting.

UPDATE: One person was taken into custody at the Safeway in Bay Point.

UPDATE #2: The two suspects were wanted for the robbery of the Verizon store on Contra Costa Blvd.

Just drove by on Concord Ave and Harrison is blocked with several police cars. Looks like they have a quandrant set up at Market/Concord Ave to Harrison/Concord Ave and sounds like down to Broadway/Market.

4:15pm – There are 15-20 police currently on Harrison between Concord Ave and Broadway St. The street is blocked off and the surrounding streets are blocked off.

I was listening on my scanner, the police did an incredible job,

The Police dispatcher was phenomenal. I’ve never heard of code 33 on channels one and two. Apparently, there was one dispatcher on duty.

We have the best police department and the best officers.

Great job LE! …. now Becton – try doing yours for a change and keep ’em locked up with a no-bail warrant

They are still looking for the person in Concord. Listening to scanner.

Detained? Is that now the woke and politically correct term for ‘arrested’?
Maybe in the future it be changed to an even woker term such as: “ Police had a ‘personal interaction’ with a wanted felon”
