Yes. Cause and Effect. There is a purpose or reason for it. Decided by God or by Fate. The way the “Effect” fits into a story.

In religion, it can help bring comfort. In science, it is cause and effect. A reason is the explanation, purpose, or meaning of an action or event. Directly or indirectly, for everything that happens, there has to be a cause, and that cause is the reason. Some reasons will remain unknown, and we may never understand them, but there is a reason why something happened.
Some people even like to make up their own reasons. I just read today that Chicago’s Mayor, Lori Lightfoot, said the reason she lost the reelection is because she is a black woman.

Up visiting Grandson, suggested Great Grandson should get martial arts training and told him guy I worked with his family all trained. Had to call out to old work to get his number.
.
Hour later we’re at big box store and guy I used to work with says hello, he and Grandson talked and got his number. An guy lives in a different city than big box store.

No some things that happens is without reason. What was the reason for 9-11? Other disasters and acts of evil l can’t for the life of me see the reason. Some things that has happen in my personal life l can look back later and see the reason, it taught me a lesson, or something better came along, but that is not always the case.
You might be right, but that doesn’t mean l can see the reason. 9-11 happened because people of the certain faith, or sect of that faith felt it was justified, same with Holocaust. However, l have a hard time seeing a good reason innocent people died, because of some evil leaders and those following them.

Yes, there is nothing in this universe that is random.
Everything is planned in a precise order for reasons we cannot fathom.
Doesn’t have to be planned. If a tree falls in your front yard you didn’t plan it. The reason it fell was because the wind blew it over.

So you have to ask yourself, “What is your Conceptual Continuity?”
Answer that and the “Reason” question takes care of itself.

It may not be your reason but it is natures or someone elses reason. But no matter what happens there is always a reason.

Yet there are alternatives.
Actions have consequences.
