Did you go to the snow on Mt. Diablo on Saturday? If so, you were probably one of the thousands of visitors who waited in the very long line to get through the main gate.
Some reports say it took over 2 hours to get to the main gate on North Gate Road, then at least another hour or two to get to the snow.
But, those who made it said it was well worth the wait.
If you go, the entrance fee to enter the park through North Gate and South Gate roads is $10.
Stay tuned to Claycord for information on road closures. It’s supposed to snow again on the mountain on Sunday, so there’s a good chance the roads will be closed.

We went! Got to the gate at 10 am. Waited 35 minutes to get through the gate. Zero traffic on the drive up the mountain. Plenty of places to pull off. We left by 12:30 and saw a huge line of cars waiting to get through the gate. Grateful we had our coffee and got there before the crowds!
What a bunch of snowflakes.
Ha ha…..drive to southern Sierra. Plenty there and no traffic.
