The following information is from the Hercules Police Dept.:

On February 21, 2023, at 10:30 am, an Officer saw a 2014 GMC Sierra truck with visible damage driving at a high rate of speed northbound on Willow Ave near Canterbury St.

The Officer believed the truck was just involved in a hit and run vehicle collision and followed the vehicle.

Other Officers responded and learned the truck was just used in an Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Vehicle) on a Concord Peace Officer in Martinez.

The driver of the truck, a 28-year-old male subject from Martinez was also considered armed and dangerous and wanted for a recent carjacking with a firearm.

The Officer attempted a traffic stop and the driver of the truck failed to yield.

A vehicle pursuit was initiated and continued into the City of Vallejo where the driver of the Sierra exited onto Columbus Parkway in Vallejo and finally stopped at the Mazda car dealership on Columbus Parkway.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the driver and female passenger were detained.

The driver was confirmed to have an outstanding Felony Ramey Warrant for carjacking and on parole.

Concord Police Department Detectives arrived and took custody of the driver and the truck.

Ramey Warrant is an is when a police agency bypasses district attorney by going directly to a judge for an arrest warrant.
.
On parole, . . . the new normal in CA on probation or parole . . . . .
.
If there is no threat of incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior

.
Want it to get worse keep electing DEMs, they’re emptying CA’s prisons, which they now want to close.

The only possible solution is to build more orisons and lock up people that should be locked up.
After a Federal judge declared the state prison system to be overcrowded, then our problems got
a lot worse. Any sane state would authorize new prisons, bot, of course, we go the opposite dir-
ection. This is what a politically correct state looks like folks.

I’d rather have the prisons overcrowded with prisoners that are public streets overcrowded with criminals.

.
On parole? Outstanding warrant?
.
CA’s justice system is supposed to protect the general public from scum like this.
.
Is CA running a catch n release program?
.
The CA justice system is a COMPLETE joke.

This is what 50 years of “I’m majoring in Criminal justice” at our Universities gets us.

California’s so called justice system no longer protects honest law abiding responsible citizens.
It now prioritizes, protects and enables criminals.

After the driver is convicted, they should add 10 years to his sentence for what he did to that beautiful machine.

Back,

CPD is hampered by a liberal city council and weak police chief. Very sorry about your nephew.

High value target. Fire at will.

“What did Will ever do to you?” Ha-ha!

Concerned,
