The following is an update from the Pleasant Hill Police Department on this afternoon’s pursuit near Target:
This morning around 11:50 a.m., the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from Pleasant Hill Police Department units after a known suspect fled from their deputies.
This known suspect has a history of running from the police, and may have been armed, as he was last seen running to the rear of the Target store.
With further assistance from Pittsburg PD’s K9 Unit, CCCSO safely took the suspect into custody in a nearby parking garage a short time later.
Claycord note: the name of the suspect was not released.
