Michael Jerome Schirato – 1978-2022
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Son, on December 3, 2022, he was 44 years old.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, George & Ruby Schirato and Jim & Betty Gilliland.
He attended Buena Vista Elementary, Walnut Creek Intermediate and graduated from Las Lomas High School, class of 1997.
His passions were gunsmithing and weaponry and he attended Colorado School of Trades and became a certified Gun Smith in 2005.
Once back in CA, he worked as a Loss Prevention Associate for Macy’s, Nordstrom and lastly at Home Depot in Pittsburg, CA.
He is survived by his parents Marc & Barbara Schirato, sister Brandy Schirato (Emily Damiano), nieces Maggie & Gracie Damiano-Schirato, daughter Samantha Schirato, aunts Shirley Gilliland (Pat Wagner) and Susan Gilliland, great aunt Pat Gallerin, his family in Switzerland; and many friends.
No services will be held at this time. There will be a reception after the holiday season, and we will announce details.
