Nanking Bistro, located at 150 Hartz Ave. in Danville, has reopened following a closure due to a vermin infestation.
The restaurant was closed last week on Feb.9 after inspectors say they found the following:
- Rodent dropping on prep table
- Approximately 3-5 rodent droppings underneath prep tables
- Approximately 3 rodent droppings under dish machine
- Approximately 2 rodent droppings under 3-compartment sink
- Approximately 5 rodent droppings under food storage rack by walk in cooler
- Approximately 10-15 rodent droppings by water heater in the walk in cooler and dry food storage area
The restaurant was previously inspected on Jan.31 of this year, when rodent droppings were also found. They were allowed to stay open at the time.
Inspectors say they found the following on Jan.31:
- Observed rodent droppings in facility. Did not observe any dead/live rodents. Corrected on site. Requested for pest control invoices and operator was unable to provide. Per operator, pest control company serviced them.
- Clean and sanitize all affected areas. Obtain pest control servicing and keep invoices for reinspection. If there
are any signs of vermin activity during the reinspection, this facility will be closed.

Be leery of any other restaurants abutting or in the immediate vicinity… them critters jump ship!

no thank you
I would be wary of any Chinese restaurant that doesn’t have rats. Authenticity is hard to come by. Almost any restaurant at any given time will have the same issues, you just don’t know it.
Taste just like chicken Kung Pao.
