As much as I appreciate the work that our city employees do there’s two things that bother me the most. #1 for $5.4 million for homeless they can give 1000 people $5000 each and a bus ticket to a place where the cost of housing is cheaper. Walnut Creek doesn’t have the homeless problem we have in Concord. Maybe Walnut Creek can show Concord how they do it. #2 the roads. It’s a shame that you can drive down Treat Boulevard or Meinert, or a lot of other streets in Concord and you can tell when you cross the City Limit from Walnut Creek or Pleasant Hill into Concord just by looking at the streets (Concords are bad) Some need paving or other work and some just need to be cleaned up. If you want more sales tax revenue, just make people feel better when they drive into Concord and not like they’re driving into a dump..

Core program is fubar. I have been homeless for over 2 years, i am diabetic; and the shelters are all full and dont have any more room, so i call 211, same thing i get the run around. I dont want to die on the street. and i have lived in concord my whole life.

Yes Concord police dept ca. Has for eight years excessive force. Tampering with evidence.crureel and unusable punishment. Privacy not considered control by special equipment operators in my and anywhere I got WiFi hacked so I can’t get to somebody who can help me I need help now and if you won’t do nothing about but believe the depart. Then you will be another that won’t take action for police accountability you’d think the law would stand up and do the right thing but that’s what gives the bad ones I mean the good ones a bad time justice is all I’m looking if you can inform me of a Room city council meeting I can go on and tell them just how our city gov.hansel misconduct. They are not for the people at all and we pay their wages they would rather cover for corrupt police and say your lying than to do the right thing for justice and the community be lied to put on a face while you stab them in the back

Was she actually sober?

Frightening what’s running this city.

Glad I watched. Mayor did a great job of bringing all the bits together. Key was how the City was run by both previous Leaders during the Pandemic and more and the positives. I also liked the point about diversity and what Concord has to offer vs.such as Silicon Valley. We are seeing what’s happening economically there and in the City where the Tech Companies put their additional eggs in another big basket fast and furious pre-pandemic.

A person with a DUI should never be allowed to hold civic office. Much less be RE-ELECTED by her constituency. That’s the state of the city. She emblematic.

I see all the sponsorship tags on this event. Does that seem right. For example, Hilton is one. Does this impact anything when they go to the city for a building expansion?

California, politics as usual…….

Fix the roads!!!

On the road again: What happen to the billions in funding towards the roads the state is taking in? The plan was to fix the California roads over all. It was voted in but..again…no visible results..or were the funds diverted.
As for homelessness, I feel for those TRUELY homeless but the ones on drug..enforce the law.

A little perplexed here, couldn’t speech have been given in city council chamber ? ?
WHY and since when does a State Of The City Speech need corporate and business sponsorship?
.
Fragile ego’s ? ? ? ? ?
