The following is from the Antioch Police Department:
In collaboration with the Brentwood Police Department, we will have a special task force working tonight to combat sideshows and off road vehicles.
We will be focused on the area of the 5800 block of Lone Tree Way near the Brentwood border.
We have a zero tolerance approach to this activity and will be stopping vehicles, towing vehicles, and doing smog inspections.

It’s amazing that these people are planning these events through social.media and apps.
Yet people get Cancelled for posting truthful things because it is labeled as “conspiracy theory”.
.
Wanna deter sideshows?
.
Impound the vehicles and issue the driver AND owner citations.
.
Upon conviction, confiscate and crush the cars in full view of the convicted driver, the vehicle owner, and the public. Shoot video of the crushing and post it on YouTube.
.
THAT will no doubt deter sideshows.
When this type of activity goes on for years & years – the people doing it know they can do whatever they want. The City Fathers are to blame for not doing something years ago – just like the gang problem. Tow they all, impound for 30 days, issue fine/jail, arrest those watching…do something – this is what you get paid for.
Cite and fine the audience too… it’s an unlawful assembly.
DR: Stick to medicine. You are no expert on the law
@MM ~ I may not be a legal eagle, but I remember the Walnut Creek police back in the 70’s ordering crowds to disperse, citing “unlawful assembly” when we were watching illegal drag races up YVR.
I didn’t need to be a lawyer to understand that.
Tow the cars involved to an impound yard in Fresno. The resulting towing and impound storage fees might be somewhat of a deterrent.
… thought they already did that? not much help so far as we’ve seen – we’ll see
Is a slideshow with no one watching like a tree that falls in the forest with no one around? ….asking for a friend.
NYTEMUVR: Even one car doing donuts is considered reckless driving, and it creates a hazard to driver, passengers and those nearby. Potential property damage risk in the event of an accident.
Then there’s the “noise” issue, violating local ordinances.
Lastly, the marks in intersections are unsightly, and affect property values… A potential buyer seeing those marks is less likely to purchase that property…
@QWERTY….Well, you told me didn’t you.
