Starbucks Getting Closer To Opening On Monument Blvd. In Concord (The Old KFC Location)

We’re on our 10th Starbucks, but we’re still waiting for our first Olive Garden in Concord. It’s a crazy World we live in.

Starbuck’s is getting closer to opening on Monument Blvd. in Concord. The site was previously home to Kentucky Fried Chicken.

This Starbucks will have an extra long drive-thru, and won’t block traffic on the main road.

Thanks to “ConcordMike” for the info!

Not sure what they did to the parking lot at Starbucks on Clayton Rd. and Treat Blvd. but traffic was backed up today. It looks like they divided the parking lot. Maybe someone knows what they did.

They took away the parking stalls and make a drive-through path only. Enter on Treat, and once you get your coffee exit towards Treat.

They closed the inside seating. Now a drive thruy onlu, Put in an entry only from Treat. The exit toward Treat was new today. Thursday it was exit on Clayton.

City is likely forcing their hand. Increase DT stack, by eliminating parking spaces, and interior seating. Employees focus toward one channel of handoff vs doing interior (cafe) and exterior (DT).Happening more through out Bay Area for high volume fast food units w/DTs in space constrained areas.

Lot of space for a winding, Disney style line waiting for that mud, since there is little else going on in that lot. Maybe, hopefully, El Faro will see a significant increase in business; they ought to sell/deliver breakfast burritos to those waiting in line.

The Starbucks on Treat/Clayton also has an “exit only” onto Clayton.

Yea! Another Starbucks.
Are we going to have one every 10 feet?

Buy some stock and earn dividends and capital appreciation. Take advantage of capitalism, not Corruptifornia socialism…

Can’t think where the closest one is but this is convenient for me

Yay! Concord is finally getting a Starbux…again.

There are far too many Starbucks in this area.
I don’t understand the appeal.
It tastes watered down.
Peete’s coffee is way better and they taught Starbucks how to make coffee.
It’s an absolute ripoff even for a small coffee and it brings too much traffic and crowds.
They could’ve put anything else there besides this.
Anything.
🤦🏻‍♀️

Well, people are dumb. That is the only explanation for how popular this place is, why people are willing to spend so much time waiting for something like this every day, and why they choose to spend a small fortune on swill.

You should see the line for Dutch Bros. in Oakley !
Fortunately they planned well and have room for 50 cars to line up.

There is several reason Starbucks is popular, they sell more than coffee, they have some interesting flavors. I’m not a big coffee drinker, I rarely drink it at home. I always have tea in the morning. Peet’s is too strong for me, even if I order a regular coffee at Starbucks I ask for extra room for cream. Usually I order a latte, their peppermint mocha is really good, but then I like both mocha and peppermint, not everyone does. In the summer I like the cold brew with sweet cream. Obviously there’s room for both Peet’s and Starbucks. You can’t call people dumb just because they have different taste than you. I don’t think people that like Peet’s are dumb, they just like strong coffee, so there something for everybody. Like someone said that why there’s chocolate and vanilla icecream, there is no right or wrong when it comes to taste, just different.

When is concord gonna get a philz coffee way better then starbucks and peetes! BRING PHILZ TO CONCORD !!
