As the Bay Area enjoys a sunny break from the stormy weather, the National Weather Service issued an updated timeline Sunday about the heavy rain that is soon to come into the region.
On Sunday night after 10 p.m., the Bay Area will experience moderate to heavy rains, with winds up to 60 miles per hour, said the weather service. A high wind warning has been issued for the entire Bay Area.
The following day, Bay Area valleys will receive two to four inches of rain. Mountainous areas will receive five to 10 inches of rain, predicts the weather service.
Flooding and rain will continue into the week, though wind gusts will lessen by Tuesday afternoon, said NWS.
.
Thanks for a little bit of sunshine and relatively warm temps.
.
Now let us get back to the general public’s fear and anxiety.
.
I don’t think most people are fearful or anxious. Keep in mind these storms hit differently in different areas. Sonoma and Santa Cruz have been hard hit. A 2 year old toddler died in Sonoma county due to a falling tree. It is better to be prepared than not. The other day when it was not suppose to rain very much I ran errands in the afternoon and there were a heavy downpour, very bad visibility. I just ran errands around town, but driving were not a pleasant experience.
They also said it was supposed to rain today, and it turned out to be a beautiful day!
Remember, these forecasts are put forth by “experts”.
.
I remember these same type of “experts” were forecasting hospitals being overrun based on neighborhood SEWAGE tests!!!
The forecast said it would be mostly dry during the day, with the rain coming in at night.
It depends on where you get the forecast from. I got it from AccuWeather.com and Weather.com, they predicted rain all day for Sunday. Today, as I saw it was warm and not raining, I checked the forecast again, and they were still predicting rain for Sunday.
playing chauffer in the morning… Rain supposed to be bad about 8AM…
Does anyone know if all that roadwork on East St is done? Was supposed to be by end of December & I’m reminded the high school is back in session tomorrow.
