As of 4:54 PM, 4.19 inches since midnight per our weather station. 5.98 inches of rain since yesterday. And it is still coming down.

Localized flooding in South PH. We did our best to prepare; some sand bags, and trimmed low lying boxwood branches. Our French drain is a creek right now! We get an incredible amount of water runoff onto our property from public Geary Road, which was ‘supposed’ to be solved with the Gear Road Improvement Project, but it only made the runoff worse. Front yard flooded and our northeast backyard is a pond. But no water in house or garage. We’ve been at it since 6 AM.

We are going to take measures to deal with this later, after rains. Going to pour higher curbs to send water east. Curbs on the lane and along the house, since the flooding water percolates up under the lane and floods our front yard regardless of sand bags along the lane.

Crazy. But that’s living in Pleasant Hill. The City of PH doesn’t give a crap. A**holes!

Gear Road Improvement Project, yea right. Does anyone find it strange that with all of todays technology they still cannot get things right?
