The following update is from the CHP – Contra Costa:
Last night (12/21/22) at about 8:50pm, CHP Contra Costa was advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Marsh Drive near Aria Drive. At the time of the crash, a pedestrian was standing outside of her parked vehicle(dodge caliber). An unknown vehicle traveling northbound on Marsh Drive struck the pedestrian and the parked Dodge. The driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop and fled the scene, continuing north on Marsh Drive. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
This crash is still under investigation. If anyone witnessed it or the events leading up to it, or has information on the suspect or suspect vehicle, please contact CHP Contra Costa in Martinez, (925) 646-4980.

Very sad, especially right before Christmas. Hope the driver is found.
It’s hard to believe that someone would “thumbs down” a simple comment that this was sad and I hope the driver is found. I presume this person hopes the driver isn’t found? Some people are just twisted.
She is my godmother and did not deserve this !!!!! She was a couple feet away from home . Please if anyone saw or knows who did this we want justice for her .
This is horrible. Fog might have been a factor. I sure hope the coward who hit this woman and left her to die on the cold pavement can live with themself now that he or she is likely sober.

Are there street or home cameras in the area where this happened? Hoping they might be able to identify the vehicle or catch a license plate. This is so tragic. RIP to the poor woman that was hit and died as a result of someone’s poor choice. I hope they are caught or come forward.

She was my childhood friend from Mexico, she or anyone didn’t deserve this! 😡 hopefully whoever did it lives a miserable life and hope they pay for this the same way. Cowards!
