Did you ever think to call the California Highway Patrol or the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office for that information?!?

Again??? Wasn’t there just a hit and run homicide over there a year or two ago???

Don’t know the circumstances, I drive on that strech sometimes, also on Center Avenue, lighting is poor, and if someone is wearing dark clothing they can be hard to see. Not an excuse for hit and run. I almost hit someone on Contra Costa Blvd, right before Center Avenue, but he was crossing wthere there were no crosswalk, wearing dark clothing and it was at night.

You do know what an implied crosswalk is? Was he in one of those?

He just stepped off the curb without warning, did really see him until he was in the street. I think he was behind a tree, like I said it was dark, it is possible I could have stopped in time. However, it made me realize you have to be very careful and always look for the unexpected no matter where you are. I just drove up Center Avenue towards Martinez, and someone was on an electric scooter, he was wearing dark clothing, and had no blinking lights on the scooter, and he was in the street, it was a just at 5 p.m. so it was getting dark, although not totally. I just read the updated report on the hit and run here on Claycord, article stated that the women was standing next to her car, which sounds like she was on the shoulder, meaning there is no good reason she got hit.
