It almost looks like they’re on an island in the ocean, but they’re actually on the summit of Mt. Diablo.

When I was about 14 we lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was socked in once, and I rode my motorcycle to the top of Loma Prieta Mountain. The view was spectacular. You could see Mount Uminhum, Mount Hamilton, Mission Peak, and Mount Tamalpias sticking up out of the clouds with a clear blue sky above. It was eerily quiet.
