What’s wrong with the witnesses, always jot down license plate, color and model. Follow them out the door. Where are the parking lot cameras for playback. If the corporations don’t care and the employees don’t care and the public don’t care and the LE don’t care and the DA don’t care and the politicians don’t care and insurance companies don’t care then fine, load up and don’t care.

I mean, LE cares. But it is not worth their time because the politicians won’t let them do anything.

Why is this continued to be allowed? These thieves and malcontents don’t truly need these item as it appears they love the thrill of stealing plain and simple as there are no repercussions. Correction repercussions to those of us who have to pay inflated prices to cover the losses. We are the victims.

The people had a chance to change things in this past election .The people in the bay area and this state voted to keep crime an acceptable behavior. Mabey it’s time we all shop that way then maybe things will change.

Agreed. California is cool with this. CVS doesnt mind they let it happen too.

I read more than half of Californians believe the state is headed in the wrong direction, yet more than half of them voted for the incumbents. Pretty powerful Kool-Aid they drink.

I thought this was legal in California thanks to ignorant voters and DA’s. You get what you vote for, duh!!!

What is sick is that businesses can’t even protect themselves because some shyster lawyer will sue or the police will be willing to press charges against the business for excessive force. We have a strange justice system and it is getting worse.

Any other tax paying, law abiding citizens tempted to go try to roll out a cart full of goods to test it out?
I can’t do jail time, so not for me. I’ll keep my conscience clear.

The question is: how long before CVS closes a few stores in the area that are being hit all the time? This state can’t be profitable for retailers, and we may experience the same issues that SF did with Walgreens. They’ve closed some store there, putting hardships on elderly customers. Meanwhile, the scruffy men dance on with
the gift that the CA voters & legislature gave them. INSANE! Good for shyster lawyahs though.

Perfect examples are Newscum and Wiener.

CVS and other retailers are being forced to close stores due to this out of control shoplifting. This is not a victimless crime. We all pay higher prices as a result. When your favorite convenience store closes, remember not to blame “greedy companies”. Rather blame the shoplifters and the politicians that enable them.
