The 2022 midterm elections are upon us! Though California voters have been able to vote for weeks before the official Election Day on Tuesday, there is time for residents to cast their ballots on the big day.
The California Secretary of State’s Office is also reminding residents of a tool they can use to find their polling place or nearest ballot drop-off locations for Tuesday’s election.
Voters can find more information on where to vote at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place.
Same-day voter registration is available at all county election offices.
Residents can find what county they live in by visiting unitedstateszipcodes.org or calling the state Voter Hotline at (800) 345-VOTE.
All in-person voting centers will operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY
Contra Costa County residents are assigned a specific polling place based on their registered address, though they can still vote at the county registrar’s office at 555 Escobar St. in Martinez.
Residents can find their assigned polling place by visiting the county’s voting website at https://www.contracostavote.gov/elections/voter-registration/my-voting-information/#Search.
For more county-specific information about voting, call (925) 335-7800 or email voter.services@vote.cccounty.us.
This vote by mail thing is a good deal. I spent two hours on Google to look up the down ballot races to help make an informed decision. Ie No way I would know who the better City Treasure candidate is while in the booth
You do your research before on a sample ballet then go to the booth.
@The Wizard
Exactly!
Among the thing I really miss from California was the Voter Information Booklet. I wish we had that here.
Dude they mailed them out a month ago! Are you for REAL?
They didn’t mail them to Tennessee, and we don’t have anything remotely like that.
If you don’t know by now where to go to vote and need assistance you likely should not be voting.
I used to vote around the corner and then they moved my polling place two miles away. There was still voting around the corner. That’s when I started voting by mail (or drop off). Regardless of what you do your vote is still counted by computer. I used to watch my mother on election nights help count votes on ballots. I can’t imagine anything more tedious. We should be using open source Linux computers not Windows which of course Micrisoft made sure runs them.
Is it just me, I am so tired of all the political and proposition ads on TV. Can’t we get back to the good old days when we had Medicare open enrollment and serial litigation ads?
Did you vote already? I know a few people that said they were not voting this year. Their choice I guess.
No one wants to hear their complaints then do we!
I know my means nothing, but want the right to complain about the results.
