Someone was arrested after allegedly breaking into the San Francisco home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and assaulting her husband early Friday morning, a spokeswoman for Pelosi said.
Paul Pelosi, the husband of the longtime San Francisco politician, was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery, according to Drew Hammill, spokeswoman for Nancy Pelosi.
The name of the person in custody for the attack was not immediately available.
“The Speaker and her family are grateful to the first responders and medical professionals involved, and request privacy at this time,” Hammill said in a statement.
