Might have to bring in Belichick to try to be as successful as Ladiuceur.

Thank you Lad for your enormous contributions to the community. Your success is remarkable and demonstrates the great potentials of an educational system where the heavy hand of unions is absent. God bless you.

Really? – Belichick was fined by the NFL for illegal sideline videotaping of an opponent, are you saying this happens now at DLS?

End of an era. Thanks for all your dedication Coach Lad over the years! Forever proud to be a Spartan!
DLS – Class of ’95
P.S. – I guess we’ll now have all the “DLS reruits” crybaby trolls coming out the woodworks now. Its jealousy at it’s finest, and I love it!
National champions from right here in Claycord as per final espn high school rankings. I am sad to see the Zen-Master of football retire. Best of luck Lad.
He sure set the bar high for his replacement. I wish him well.

Lad was a great coach and mentor to everyone on campus, not just the players. Let’s hope his traditions live on with Justin Alumbaugh taking the reins.

Don’t worry the boosters will be able to buy the best coaches along with the players so nothing will change. They will continue to have the best football team money can buy. I really don’t care as long as the provide an education to the kids.

I am proud to be a SPARTAN and have had the opportunity to be coached by Lad when I was there. DLS Football won’t be the same without him.
What people don’t realize is that Lad (unlike many other coaches) isn’t all about winning, and he coaches his players on LIFE on and off the field. He is a terrific example and I wish more coaches were like him.

Coach Lad has had a major impact on NorCal football…he has touched every program in some degree, his talks, coaching clinics, his basic philosophy of football and with working with young men.

How many years after retirement before the Pope can officially name “Coach Lad” a saint? He’s achieved that status with readers here for having winning football seasons which after all is more important than world peace, ending hunger. etc.

WOW anon sounds like someone that that may have gone to DLS at one time and couldn’t cut it or was asked to leave for some reason .IF you had a son who loved football wouldn’t you work hard ,save money and try to let him have the chance to play for the best high school and coach in the nation. Coach Lad and the rest of the coaching staff has taught there players about life and what comes from hard work , dedication , heart and brotherhood.If anyone wants to know the impact coach Lad has made in the lives of those young men, just talk to one.
Thank you coach Lad and DLS!

When asked in an interview some 15 years ago Ladouceur was asked why the football program was so successful. His one word answer: Love.
@4 Marty
It’s not jealousy, it’s a dislike of an unfair system
