Gov. Newsom Signs Several Bills To “Strengthen” Cannabis Laws

Governor Gavin Newsom on Sunday signed several measures that he says will strengthen the state’s cannabis laws, expand the legal cannabis market, and “redress the harms of cannabis prohibition.”

Newsom signed Senate Bill 1326, which creates a process for California to enter into agreements with other states to allow cannabis transactions with entities outside of California. He also signed Senate Bill 1186, put forth by Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), which preempts local bans on medicinal cannabis delivery in an effort to expand patients’ access to legal, regulated cannabis products.

Oakland Assemblymember Mia Bonta (D) put forth Assembly Bill 1706, which Newsom signed, which seals old cannabis-related convictions for Californians. Newsom also signed Assembly Bill 2188 by Bill Quirk (D-Hayward), which protects Californians from employment discrimination based on their use of cannabis off-the-clock and away from the workplace.

Newsom also announced that he has directed the California Department of Public Health to convene experts to survey current scientific research and policy mechanisms to address the growing emergence of high-potency cannabis and hemp products. He also directed the Department of Cannabis Control to examine potency and its related health impacts.

I find it hilarious that Gavin, the brain damaged coke-headed lush, talks like he knows all about the CA cannabis business. It’s almost as funny as the names of the parties involved, Wiener and Quirk.

Coke headed lush! lol!

Either you know him personally, or know someone who does. You nailed it! Don’t forget sex addict 😉

You forgot giving booze to minors. How quickly everyone forgets:

Perfect. It is still a federal offense to use or posses in certain amounts.

Strengthen the laws and expand the market?????

Wtf???? Playing both sides…..

Spending money to make things tougher while spending money to further decriminalizing the violation.

He is on a roll. A law a day plan.

If you’d like to see how well the EDD handled the $32 billion fraud, under Gavin’s rein, here’s a link to Channel 3’s investigation with the last installment tonight at 6pm on the news….

Also signed a bill to provide water for lawns and trees since there’s plenty of water to grow pot!!!

I read China, was going to be growing pot on our U.S Farmland they purchasrd even though U.S. can’t purchase property in China.

@moonwork….On farmland next to U.S. military bases, already happened in North Dakota. I’m not a conspiracy theorist but that kind of raises the hair on my neck.

Yes China would love to turn the US citizenry into a bunch of potheads and make profit doing it. They would love to weaken the US that way. Gavin Newsom and the Democrats on the other hand, want people to be potheads so they keep voting for the Democrats. We can see the society is coming apart. The plan of both the Chinese and the Democrat party

Too bad that they don’t enact laws to “preempt local bans on [firearms dealers and gun shows] in an effort to expand [citizens’] access to legal, regulated [firearms] products”.

Oh, well, gotta help the pusher man.

It sounds like Newsom wants more people to smoke marijuana. He probably thinks stoned pot heads will be more complacent when he robs them and their children blind.

Great leadership right there.

Crime, cartels, psychosis, schizophrenia – other than all that, things are going really well!
