BART Service Halted Between Concord And Pleasant Hill

BART service between Pleasant Hill and Concord on the Yellow Line has stopped due to a kink in the rail, the agency announced on Tuesday evening.

County Connections bus numbers 11, 14 and 15 are running commuters between the Pleasant Hill and Concord Stations.

BART doesn’t have an estimated time of service restoral.

Was on the BART train when it stopped yesterday. They stopped the train on the opposite platform so they could send it back to SF, then sent everyone to the other side to another train, which they said would be leaving. They then made an announcement that the train would leave as soon as the tracks were fixed. I called my husband at that point and got out of there. I only found out from him this morning that they ended up sending the busses and didn’t fix the track until this morning. It was chaos.

Because of posted delays, I arrived BART Concord for an earlier train than normal to make a 7 PM curtain in Berkeley. That earlier train showed a delay. It never arrived, nor did the next. Then they announced a bus as replacement. I didn’t have time to stand in line to find out how to get credit so I just used my card to get out and drove to Berkeley. It’s crazy that citizens are again not being able to enjoy their freedoms. I would feel better if the use of fires by the homeless were illegal. I know I am a broken record but it’s upsetting that any homeless person can have a fire. But I can’t go for a walk. ???
