Firefighters are battling a vegetation fire in the area of Highway 4 between Port Chicago Hwy. and Willow Pass Rd. in Concord.
Expect traffic delays in the area.
The cause is currently unknown.
UPDATE: The fire is about 1.5 acres. Firefighters are making good progress on the blaze, and it should be extinguished shortly.
Cause will be from one of the many homeless camps….. bets? … how much are we spending putting out fires caused by homeless? How long are we going to put up with it?
Freeways make good firebreaks… as do cattle.
Our homeless friends again?
It wasn’t me, and you can’t prove it!
I like that people are going to blame homeless encampments as if grass fires never happened in the region before. Certainly couldn’t have been caused by the vehicles driving on the highway.
@Danged ineffectual…. Obviously it was someone throwing their cigarette butt out the car window….damn smokers!
So nobody is going to blame it on shooters at the USI Rifle Range?
We finally all done with that BS?
It is on the Concord Police range side of the freeway. Cant keep blaming the magic bullets from USI.
