There are currently no plans for new power plants for electricity generation. The charging time for EV is still hours! LoL!!!! How the hell are people supposed to charge up when there is no power? Look to UN Agenda 2030 for the answer. The plan is to decrease personal auto ownership and push ordinary working people to public transportation. These EV cars will be so expensive that only democrat political cronies and celebrities will be able to drive them. Your electric bus will be coming soon ! Enjoy!

Mr Campbell doesn’t have any answers, according to him everything is a challenge, a big challenge. At least he’s optimistic, he thinks it’s time to meet that challenge. But no ideas on how to solve the problem. He didn’t have an answer on how to solve the problem of everybody charging their cars in the evening.
Just like with COVID, everybody is an expert, but nobody has any feasible solutions.

Look down the street that you live on. Think of all the infrastructure required to have charging facilities at each dwelling. Don’t forget apartments.
How long does it take to sufficiently charge the batteries now? Will new technologies develop that speed up charging? Can existing power infrastructure that feed dwellings handle the new loading? How much will it cost us to upgrade? Will charging stations be able to “fill ‘er up” as fast as filling a gas tank”
Have California “planners” figured out where the increased electricity will come from?
Future radical drop in gasoline use will have a massive impact on the oil refining business. Unless the Calif refiners can efficiently move thousands of barrels/day of gasoline out of the state (pipelines) they just may shut down. Remember.. Oil Refineries are defence plants. Military equipment lives on the products of fossil fuels. Ships don’t run on batteries.
Just thinking about what some of the consequences of this thinking may lead.

Newsom is a dictator. He tells the people of California what kind of car they are allowed to buy, how much water they can use, what your children will be taught in schools. He wastes our tax dollars on his special projects that maintain crime and homelessness and doesn’t solve any problems the people in this state face on a daily basis. Newsom only cares about power and control. When will people wake up.
Unfortunately the answer is that they will not wake up. Newsome has shown himself to be dishonest & self serving a hundred times over but yet still he gets “elected”. Too many people don’t do their research and are familiar with his name and know that he is a democrat so they will continue to support him.
He isn’t concerned with what best serves the law abiding, tax paying citizens. If that hasn’t become crystal clear by now it never will

Lithium mining destroys the soils structure and leads to unsustainable water table reduction. What are they going to do with the discarded batteries? Typical California approach to an issue is to propose change without looking at the big picture and potential problems.

Without an extensive infrastructure for charging similar to the number of gas stations, 2035 is a pie in the sky dream. Part of the needed infrastructure is electrical power plants that can do the charging on an extensive demand from both EVs, homes, and business’s. More pie in the sky target of 2035. Next infrastructure requirement is the protection of the charging stations that are already being hit with thieves destroying them for the wiring.

Always be leery of the information when the media portrays someone as an expert. By the way, this is interesting and even more psychotic than California’s bill. Gov. Way before 2035 comes around, if gas engines are even still necessary, they will put out for less emissions then they do now. As far as moving to all electric vehicles, that is not very practical because even by then and the way the Democrats run things they will not have the infrastructure in place to support that many cars that are electric only. Not only that, but where are they going to burn to make the electricity to support so many cars? Let’s see: core, oil, wood, and whatever else they used today to produce electricity. The amount of electricity they will produce using those fuel sources will put out more pollution than what is put out today from all the cars in the state.

Regardless of which authoritarian pipe dream this stems from, one of the party in charge’s supporters will win big with the forced infrastructure changes. In this case it’s the IBEW as it guarantees an increase in the number of union electricians required to execute the work.
Much like the banning of natural gas appliances that is currently being pushed in areas of the state, it has nothing to actually do with “climate change” but everything to do with more jobs for union electricians. Doesn’t matter if the electric grid is already stretched to over capacity…

To maximize battery life, auto Mfr’s recommend charging batteries at 20% and only up to 80%. They don’t talk much about this little drawback.
Lemeesee…….using my abacus……..that’s uh……er……..40% unused battery time and distance?
Can that be right? That would mean the estimates of travel distance is only 60% of the advertised distance.
What if I run the A/C or the heater? How ’bout if I want to tow something? If it’s raining and I need the wipers and the defoggers?
Oh yeah, almost forgot, somebody has to get that electric energy to your charging station. I sure hope we don’t run out of pixie dust, we’re gonna need a lot of that magic stuff.
I think I’ll stick with what works.
Did you know that the entire mileage range that they tell you is possible on an EV is only if you travel AT 60 MPH!!??
Who does that?
If you want to get anywhere at you regular speed there is a chart that show how many miles you get at certain MPH’s and it cuts 250 miles range to a litle over 100 if you want to go 70-80 mph,and you real speeders, expect many 80 to 100 miles from a charge.
The miles they say are possible are a complete lie not seen until you read fine print nobody ever reads.

To all of you current electric car owners who are currently enjoying a lower operating cost, just wait until the price of electricity triples because we need to fund all the infrastructure necessary to meet the new demands.
And then wait until the state has to replace all the revenue that currently comes from gas tax. Anybody still stuck in California at that time is going to be paying through the nose for the privilege of driving their golf cart on public roads.
BTW, If you think you’re just going to hang onto your gas-powered car, good luck trying to find a gas station after all the extra taxes and regulations drive them out of business.
Our only hope is that after Newsom is gone, we’ll have a governor with some common sense. Yeah, figure the odds…
