The community is invited to the grand opening of the new Pleasant Hill Library.
The grand opening for the new facility, located at 2 Monticello Avenue, is set for 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on July 30, 2022.
Visitors will be able to tour the new, state-of-the-art, facility, and check out demonstrations of the amenities in the building like the 3-D printer and laser cutter. Outside the library, guests will be able to enjoy light refreshments, crafts, and music.
Following the 12:00 p.m. end of the festivities, the library will remain open to the public until its normal closing time of 5:00 p.m. and will resume its normal weekly schedule moving forward.
The Pleasant Hill Library is a multi-million dollar project made possible through voter-approved Measure K funding,
It is being built on approximately five acres of land donated by the residents of Contra Costa County.
I hope they have sensible control over their 3D printer. The last thing we need is students printing their own ghost guns!
Looking forward to seeing the new library. I had many happy memories of the old building but I’m sure the update will be a welcome one.
