About 3,400 people are without power off Pine Hollow Road in Concord and Clayton, and along Marsh Creek Rd. in Clayton, according to PG&E.
The cause of the outage is under investigation, but it appears to have happened due to a pole fire on Pine Hollow Rd. at Rolling Woods in Concord.
The power should be back on by about 7 p.m., according to PG&E.
PG&E- Poor Grid Execution. 4th time this year we’ve lost power in Clayton.
Most people have solar if they own an EV so if power is out it’s no problem charging but most people charge their EV once a week so the odds of having absolutely no way to charge are slim
Except many if not most solar setups do not work when the grid power goes down.
Hate that when that happens.
How are we supposed to charge our electric cars?
Let the EV jokes begin!
Just had the telescope ready for some darker skies when the unneeded lights over the Pine Hollow Middle School parking area came on. Wasted power lighting up a unused parking lot.
Happy that power has been restored to everybody.
Keep looking up !!!
