We had this one already. Half the life of a good job.

Chip seal is OK for someone’s driveway but it’s pretty much worthless for busy roads.

You can count on our esteemed County Supervisors to pay for the cheap and worthless fix.

After looking it up I remember hating these roads as a kid. You can rollerblade or skate on them. Our street had a nice smooth slurry seal. I was told someone had pull with a congressman and got our neighborhood streets re done about 20 years ago. Because I guess that’s how city politics work

Correction: “can’t” rollerblade or skate on these streets

City councilman not congressman lol

Ah yes, the magical mystery tour of chip-sealing!
This evening I was on Imhoff Drive and found myself behind the broom / vacuum trucks after the chip-sealing had been done.
There were chips and dust flying everywhere. Not a good solution. I had to crank up the windscreen washer several times. In Pleasant Hill, we have cape-sealing. The street looks nice after that, and it lasts a long time.

Might as well just lay down gravel.

They’ll tax you for the expensive fix, but but the cheap fix.
