ConFire and Martinez Police are responding to reports of a residential structure fire on Shell Ave. near Terrace Way, in Martinez.
UPDATE: An MPD officer reports the entire interior is on fire. First ConFire units are now on scene. Explosions heard from the inside. All but one occupant, who needs assistance, have evacuated. This is now a working structure fire.
UPDATE: Adjacent and back up residences are also being evacuated. The occupant requiring assistance to evacuate has been rescued and may have suffered some smoke inhalation.
UPDATE: The fire has extended into the attic as well as nearby vegetation. Crew 12 is working with Engine 9 on the exterior extension.
UPDATE: Shell Ave. near the fire has been shut down until further notice.
