A jury in Contra Costa County found a homeless man guilty of murdering a disabled resident in Pacheco, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.

On June 1, 2022, 44-year-old Taylor Aaron Goode was found guilty of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of 29-year-old Erick Marshall Ousey.

The same jury also found Goode guilty of assaulting Michael Detar with a knife a year prior to killing Ousey. Ousey had been diagnosed with a severe intellectual disability. Investigators determined that Ousey and Goode were in an altercation near the California Grand Casino in Pacheco on July 5, 2019.

Through witness statements and security footage they determined that Goode punched and kicked Ousey several times while following him around the perimeter of the California Grand Casino.

Ousey attempted to defend himself when Goode stabbed him with a knife. Ousey ran from Goode and eventually collapsed at the Paddock Bowl, across the street from the casino. He died at the scene despite the efforts of emergency responders.

At the time of Ousey’s murder, Goode was on parole for stabbing a convenience store clerk in 2015. He is facing 35 years to life for Ousey’s death.

Goode will be homeless no more.

… San Quentin, Corcoran, or Pelican?

How does he end up on parole for the stabbing of another person? He should have been in prison. Elect Mary Know and get rid of Beacon

Why did the liberal judges and DA’s keep releasing these people that have tried to kill others only and have them come out and kill somebody. This is the big reason for a crime wave now. Frankly, the hell with the social justice movement it’s basically all on the criminal side and it’s victimizing us good people. I’m remembering this at election time!
(And there’s one political party this constantly supported the criminal over the innocent citizen. The party that’s let them all out of jail and the party that refuses to send them to jail for repeat crimes)

I absolutely agree…..You’re right.

But nothing will change…..and certainly NOT in this state,

We need to ban knives now. This is getting ridiculous. Also hands. You can’t hold a weapon without hands. Also most crime happens at night. We need to start imposing a strict 5:00 pm curfew. If you don’t have a job that requires you to be outside of your home after 5:00 pm then you are mandated to be inside your residence. We’ll use ankle monitors to ensure people follow the rules. If they get caught outside after 5:00 then they should lose their ankles.

Sometime I feel we need Middle Eastern methods of justice. We would have a lot less violent crime if removing a hand was on the table. Prisons would have less people. It is a cruel method, but they commit cruel crimes. The violent people need to be cancelled from society.

Another reason why they should build a huge mental health facility and put those people in there so they stop hurting others, themselves and our planet! A lot of them can’t live on their own or be a part of society anymore. Start using death row if it becomes too expensive!

What is the point of ever letting him out of stoney lonesome?

Thank you Regan for releasing the crazies by eliminating mental institution! And thank you jerry brown for releasing inmates to reduce crowed prison! Yeesh, it is time we take back Cali for god.

dig a little deeper there….

started with jfk, then…

in ca it was a dem bill that reagan was going to veto, but the dems had enough votes to over ride the veto, so he did not…

and if you don’t want to believe that….

as yourself: how long have the dems had control of ca?????

Paul, are you referring to the LPS act 1967? Lanterman, Petris, Short act. Two Dems and one Rep with the help of the ACLU and liberal activists got this pushed through.

At the time mental institution were closed down all over the country Reagan was the governor of California. They were closed down by the ACLU because it was argued their rights were being abused. It has been the left’s idea it was done by Reagan and the ACLU never takes credit.

Hey Paul have you heard of Pat Brown, Not Jerry. That’s the Dude.

Absolute bull$&@@. Our government continues to fail the mentally ill and homeless. Fail fail fail fail

so by letting out the stabby stabby criminal, the DA should be charged for the murder of 29-year-old Erick Marshall Ousey.

….drug crazed homeless fight … again? when will “someone” clean up the area..& encampments… too many fires… too much of taxpayer $$ wasted responding to them

He will have a better life as an inmate than being homeless.

This is a parolee who should have never been released back into society, Period.

SF is releasing the five-times deported illegal schizophrenic who murdered the lady on a San Francisco pier. Time served, after seven years and he’s out. The judge told him not to return to the US ever. Wanna bet his number six return happens within a year? Wanna bet he’ll be in the news again?

The guy above won’t get 35 years, and he probably won’t get the help he needs either. Well Governor, how about proposing a solution?

As always, those doing the assaulting will be released back into society to repeat their ways. The people of the Bay Area and this once great state continue to vote for the politicians who advocate protecting the criminals over the law abiding citizens. The worst part is those voters prefer to have us all live in these increasingly deplorable conditions. It boggles the mind how many of them prefer to inevitably fail the State of California…

You can add this to the “Catch and release is dangerous” list, and the “Soros-controlled prosecution is dangerous for everyone else” list.

At some point Anarchy gives way to vigilante justice or Despotism. Which direction will Kleptofornica take?

Why did no one help this man while he was being stalked, punched, and kicked by this pos? Why did no one call the police when they saw this altercation unfolding? That’s some bs and wrong!!! He wouldn’t be dead if someone had done something! That pos should never have been released from prison. This state sucks and it’s politicians suck too. This state needs and overhaul get some good politicians in to clean this state up!

Why did no one help this disabled man while he was being stalked, punched, and kicked by this predator? Why did n one call the police when they saw this altercation unfolding ? That’s wrong ! He would not be dead now of someone had done something! This dangerous individual should never have been released from prison! This state sucks and so does it’s politicians! It needs an overhaul and get competent politicians in office! Clean this state up and quit letting criminals back out on the street to harm people! They need to be locked up for good!

F….ing intellectual disability? The murderer was strung out on drugs. Ya ok. He killed a disabled man and because of the label they put on him, he will get out in 5 yrs.
