The “Old Fire” burning in Napa County north of Napa on Tuesday has reached 376 acres as of 7 p.m. and is still 5 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

Mandatory evacuation orders went out for all of Soda Canyon Road and Old Soda Springs Road from the 1300 block to its terminus. There are also road closures at Soda Canyon Road and the Silverado Trail.

The vegetation fire broke out near 2300 Old Soda Springs Road and its smoke can be seen for miles.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has issued an air advisory for the North Bay due to drifting fire smoke.

That naming convention, AGEISM! Associating age with something negative. This must stop!

Cal Fire web site is now showing this fire is 15% contained. Must of been some progress overnight. Hope the wind does not become a factor.

Am I the only one who did not know, that the homeless are allowed, on no burn days to have fires for cooking and for warmth. I called in a fire on a sidewalk in Concord and was told its okay if their homeless. Is this now a 3rd workd city?

Then it must be okay for you to go dump some water on it. Got to be the change you want to see in the world. Fight fire with fire. Pun intended.

How close is it to Silverado Resort? .. they got burned by the Atlas fire 🙁
