The state senate unanimously passed a bill that prohibits the use of dogs and cats to test chemicals, toxic substances and food additives.
Senate Bill 879, also known as the PET Act (Prohibiting Extraneous Testing), heads to the Assembly for policy committee hearings, according to an announcement Friday.
The law includes exemptions for testing for the development of products intended for use in dogs or cats including anesthesia, cancer treatment, animal vaccines, other animal medicines, or flea and tick products.
The PET Act is sponsored by the Humane Society of the United States.

We have been testing on humans within the last two years.

There is an easy fix to this problem. Move the testing facilities out of California… which is what may happen no matter what. Don’t get me wrong, I love animals and wildlife and don’t want any animal to suffer, but this bill is designed to make a human feel good.
This is wrong! Fauci needs legions of innocent, de-barked beagles in order to effectively study the ravages of horrible diseases!
