A tanker truck got stuck while trying to make a u-turn on Clayton Rd. in Concord, and brought traffic to a brief halt this afternoon around 4 p.m.
The incident occurred on Clayton Rd. near Dunkin’ Donuts.
Traffic was diverted onto Thornwood Drive for about a half-hour.
Thanks to Aaron for the photo.
Good news . . . Hydrant wasn’t hit.
Must be a newbie hasn’t been dragging trailers very long.
@Old Timer….It’s part of the learning curve, I have a couple of stories from 40+ years ago. No one was hurt, a good lesson learned.
… suspend his / her commercial license till he / she passes the drive test again … sad
Pretty dumb place to try that. There’s wider spots just down the road.
Before I pass judgement I need to know if the attempt was legal or illegal – just a bad driver or a bad driver AND a scofflaw. Lots of No U Turn signs around town for this very reason.
Is that ticket-able? Poor guy must’ve been so embarrassed
It’s because there are no “TRUCKS NO U-TURN” signs there…..like the “THIS SIGN HAS SHARP EDGES” signs.
This will be a reason to justify increasing the price of gas.
