Shahs of Sunset

Just read that The Shahs of Sunset was canceled.

None! I have not watched any “reality” shows because I think they bring down the morality in the USA. I don’t think these shows are realistic for the person on the shows are hand picked and coached by the producers. They (the contestants) are happy to comply and even happy of being publicly humiliated for the pleasure of the audience with the hope of being the next celebrity. I say these contestants appear for 15 minutes of frame for a possible life time of shame.

You’re virtue signaling and missing out.

Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, Forged in Fire, American BBQ showdown…

none of those shows are bringing down morality.

CNN. Oh, I thought you asked for my favorite dramatic comedy.

I love Curse of Oak Island. Like the two main guys (Rick and Marty), I first read about Oak Island in Reader’s Digest and was immediately interested. Some day, they will find the treasure!

… the first few Survivors shows… then it rapidly descended into the sameo sameo repititous routine, same type of venues all the time, now they just compete in games and even then the network scrimps on those now, fewer shows in the series, say they have totally re-did the competitions (Not!)… has turned into another woke display of .. well – you know what ….. so now? none

Leave It to Beaver. Although it was a fictionalized TV show, the writers based it on the real life experiences with their own children. Their friends, Eddie, and Larry, were also based on real life children.
Candid Camera was probably the first TV show where the participants actually were unaware that they were being filmed. Most reality TV shows are scripted, the participants are coached, and aware of the cameras’ location.

Leave it to Beaver was the best show ever. The kids didn;t tease him about hs name either. Life was healthier and grounded. Ward Cleaver was a great role model for parents.
A must watch for all!

Escape to the Chateau!!!

@ smee~
That place makes my heart happy!
Could You imagen walking through that place and playing in the Craft room and drooling from the smell of the food cooking. Would love to visit there.

The Amazing Race! I wish it got the same attention that survivor does.

+1

Mine too & I also wish.

None. They are basically a way to create cheap TV entertainment. That’s why there is a lot of it these days as well as documentaries on broadcast TV. But then I don’t watch much of any broadcast TV even streaming.

Keeping up with the Kardashains!!!

Fantasy Island. Although fictionalized, it was based on the real life of Mr. O’Rourke and Tattoo.

Survivor, love that show.

Zelensky stars as President of Ukraine in Servant of the People. I heard he ended up keeping the part even after the show was canceled.

The Osbournes….

I can’t get enough of Forged in Fire. Even tho the shows formula rarely changes, it’s fascinating to watch the craft.

I’ve actually gone to one of the bladesmiths from the show from my chefs knife…

Close second is Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

Sports are the only “real” reality show.

I guess it is a reality show, Impractical Jokers.

I have watched several really shows over the years, usually for a short time, such as The Duggars, the Kardashians, but usually lost interest after a few episodes. Intervention and Hoarders more interesting especially when they do a follow up. Is True Crime considered reality shows? If so they are my favorites, such as Snapped, and other crime shows, l find those really interesting. I have read several of Ann Rules’ books, her first one was about Ted Bundy, fascinating, and one of my favorites both book and movie, Capote’s “In Cold Blood”.

Three Stooges … Shemp editions

Is Forged in Fire a reality show. If so that would be it. My wife and I have been going through Criminal Minds on Netflix for months it seems. We used to watch AGT and The Voice but havent this year. Sometimes watch Ds,Ds, and Ds but there are just so many ways you can make a hamburger.

Survivor. When I watched it. Plus my daughter shared with me after she moved that she tells people not to mess with her mom because I voted everyone off the island. Yikes!

Forgot use to watch Shark Tank, and Undercover boss. Interesting to see what business ideas people had, and Undercover Boss had some interesting stories, nice to see how some boss got new appreciations for their employees, when the learned more about them, how the worked and perhaps ideas the had, and also their families

“Wicked Tuna”

When this guy comes on I turn it off, Paul Hebert of the Wicked Pissah.

Time Team! Is that a reality show? That’s all I’ve got at the moment. As the only kid in the Acalanes school district I knew of with a hard working mother and no dad or siblings, I did enjoy “Leave It To Beaver”. And I LOVED the “Andy Griffith Show”. After we got a TV in 1966 watching reruns snuggled up with my cat before my mom got home sent me to a cozy imaginary place for a bit, but I suppose I knew that was not reality. At least not our reality. Candid camera could sometimes be really good. I despised the dude seemingly in charge of the crew who chased down and captured terrified, mostly African wild animals in their helicopters, speedboats, etc., doing the big favor of “bringing them to us” while many of the poor breathless captured creatures appeared nearly to suffer coronary events for our observation. I was certain he was responsible for many wildlife deaths off camera. I thought that Mutual of Omaha should’ve been brought up on charges for that abomination of a show . It was a hideous and an awful production Later I found “Hoarders” fascinating. Finally I had an appropo description much more suitable than “packrats”. I can honestly and ever so PROUDLY attest to not seeing one split second of anything akin to “The Apprentice” and no Kardashians, or any of that sort of nothingness. I think the very worst of reality TV used to be the news, when they just told us.. well, the news. They showed us and talked about things that had happened without embellishing, and nothing meaningless or out of context. Nothing spun into something unrecognizable, and unrelated to the original, The talking heads didn’t express their own or the boss’s opinions, or strongly suggest what we should think or feel. It was often very painful to see ex.; for myself as a ten or eleven year old watching the news when a monk self immolated on a busy street, I found it preferable when they just told and/or showed us what had happened that day, and WE decided how we felt and thought about it without anyone’s suggestions, as if we were fully fledged human beings with our own thoughts, ideas. values, and opinions. It could be difficult, but if we wanted to know what reality was, it was good to be able to find reality and the truth easily. That’s reality.

Real reality….Raider Football, Sharks Hockey, Warriors Basketball, Ace’s Baseball and Amazing Race. What I like about Amazing Race is each week there is physical challenge and a mental challenge.

49ers, then the Giants.

BATTLEBOTS. My dad and I LOVE watching it.

I’ve loved BATTLEBOTS since the comedy central seasons.

After it came back in 2015 I watched it religiously, and got my dad into it. He now loves it as much as I do.

+1 ….except the last championship playoff episode – 2 bad calls imho

good call Scott, I had not recalled Battlebots, awesome viewing, albeit each fight is a tad short (yet some are thrilling, the explosions Uppercut has caused…), with lots of filler. I am envious of the engineering skills on display.

“Cops.”
“Trauma, life in the ER.”
