Newlywed Game. Because neither spouse seemed to know half of what they thought they did about the other after they got married.

I don’t have a favorite, but I used to watch Hollywood Squares when Paul Lynde was on. He was a funny guy.
Speaking of game shows, Rodney Alcala was a contestant on the Dating Game in the 1970’s, and the bachelorette chose him as her date. After talking to him, and getting acquainted, she changed her mind and decided not to go out with him because she thought he was creepy. She made a smart decision. Rodney Alcala was a rapist and a serial killer. He was later convicted of killing six women and a 13-year-old girl. At the time of his arrest, he had hundreds of explicit photographs of women, boys, and girls. There are clips of that Dating Game episode on YouTube.

I was never a big gameshow watcher, but to name one would be “You Bet Your Life”.

With Groucho Marx. That was a family favorite in those days.

Only jeopardy ever night. Ken should be the only host.

The Gong Show!

Yes The Gong show and Match Game.

If the rumors are true that the show was fueled with cocaine and sex, I would have to agree with you. But that is probably not a unique case.

I was in the audience with our high school band for one of the tapings. It was pretty cool. I think it was 1977 or 1978.

As others here not much for game shows. Did watch Hollywood squares at times, and yes Paul Lynde was very funny. I did enjoy Jeopardy, but don’t watch it anymore, Also use to watch “To tell the truth”, off and on, it could be somewhat interesting.

Family feud

Used to like price is right but price is wrong

Never got into game shows…. too busy studying at first. Then in ongoing years: family activities (including youth baseball and big-time soccer involvement), friends, and business. We did watch TV movies and things like “Twilight Zone” as a family, though.

The game show where average idiots would rush through the store filling up their shopping carts. It was a show kids could relate to. That, and dress up like a fool to make a deal. Now there’s a whole game show network.

… the old Dating Game and Newlywed Game

Hollywood Squares

Lets make a deal

There are so many other shows that are kind of like games shows, but are not, like Guy’s Grocery Games, and the Food Network cooking challenges, that I truly enjoy, as well, but in the spirit of the question, Jeopardy, back when hosted by Alex.

.
Married with Children
.

Exit, Isn’t Married with children a sitcom, not a game show?

It was more like “A Guide For The Married Man”

Or maybe not…..

My bad…
.
Jeopardy!
.

@Dr Jellyfinger….That right there are dreams a boy in the 60s had. It also made his pajama bottoms stand up in the corner of his bedroom by themselves.

Dr. J…

Good Flash Back…. A Classic..

Makes me wonder if it was inspiration for the show “Love American Style”?

1, Are you smarter than a 5th grader
2, who wants to be a millionaire
3 wheel of fish https://youtu.be/KezvwARhBIc

“The Running Man”

Oh yeah……

As a child, I loved watching Battle of the Network Stars…Jacqueline Smith ran her butt off, Lynda Carter was quite the swimmer, Cheryl Tiegs….ending with a tug of war with the Hulk pulling ABC network into the trench! This was when television was wholesome and you got to see the actors as normal people, with athletic abilities…

@Sancho…good call…that very show crossed my mind, but my other choice won out.

Win Ben Stein’s Money.

Jeopardy.

$64,000 Question

Seven Keys… as a child when Grandma babysat

Match Game. With Gene Rayburn. Nothing else comes close.

Let’s make a deal.

Jeopardy! and Sale of the Century
