FBI Seeks Public’s Help With Identifying “Lapsus$” Hackers

The San Francisco office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking the public’s help in an investigation involving the compromise of computer networks, the agency announced this week.

On March 21, individuals from a group identifying themselves as “Lapsus$” posted on social media and alleged to have stolen source codes from a number of US-based tech companies. Lapsus$ took credit for both the theft and dissemination of proprietary data that they claim to have illegally obtained, the FBI said.

The FBI is attempting to identify the individuals involved in Lapsus$.

Anyone with information about this group is encouraged to contact the San Francisco FBI Office or an FBI field office in their area. The SF office can be reached at (415) 553-7400.

Help the FBI?

Not so sure I’d do that even if I did know something.

I believe the FBI has failed America just like the Government has.

If the FBI is gonna ask the public to do it’s job, what’s the point of the FBI?

Oh yeah I forgot. They protect Hunter.

Disband all 3 letter agencies.

Yeah. They’re so good their cybersecurity guy can’t find Hunter Biden’s laptop. Time for some change. Oh and Wray won’t show up at the hearing to answer questions either.

I hear they are really good at misplacing evidence…

It’s a good seed to plant before the big “cyber attack” The WEF is planning. It’s good to condition the public. They will blame Russia and Trump. And probably straight white males🤣🤣🤣

I was going to say that they wasted so much time trying to trip up Trump that they’ve lost their bearings on how to solve real crimes.
I used to really admire the FBI, and I guess a lot of their employees are still top-notch, but when they became political to the benefit of the Democrat party they lost a lot of integrity in my view.

It is more than ironic that you would disband our intelligence agencies.

Jon Brennan, it that you? The CNN CIA asset leading all the dems to so many disappointing moments. 🤣🤣🤣

Computers and the internet opened a can of worms.

Look at Putin, Trump, Un, and the rest of the autocratic despots who want to rule with iron fists. Resist the power-hungry!

The government will not let go of Trump and that is why they are not doing what they are supposed to do against the Biden-Harris-Clinton debacles that are causing us all pain.

Get a clue and vote with a brain this time around. Your savings are flying out the window with the inflation and forcing of us to go green per our illustrious president and his handlers. Stop the woke-greenie-socialist take over.

I have noticed a significant drop in the number of spam/robo phone calls since the Russia vs. Ukraine thing started. Both have been regarded as hotbeds of criminal hackers for the past several years.

I agree with Ricardoh above, computers and the internet opened a can of worms, or maybe it’s Pandora’s box.
