Contra Costa Water District is resuming their in-person water facilities tours to their customers.
Participants will learn about the source of their water, the infrastructure necessary to convey, treat, store and deliver their drinking water to local homes and businesses, as well as how the water system operates.
Registration is now open and customers can reserve a spot at this link.

Will they show you the new desalinization plant they are building. Oh I see.
Helmet mandatory. Silly suspenders optional.
I went on this tour many years ago and found it interesting. If anything it’s not technical enough. Then again, I also worked in the water industry.
What are they going to do in order to get more water for the people?
Their job is to supply adequate water and yet all they’ve done is restrict usage.
Their only goal for now and in the future is to supply an abundance of water to their customers.
We shouldn’t recklessly waste water, but we shouldn’t have to feel the burden of poor water management.
