Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced that he is hosting the 2022 Congressional Art Competition.
High school artists living in California’s 11th Congressional District may begin virtually submitting original artwork to Congressman DeSaulnier’s office from now until Friday, April 22, 2022. The winning piece will be selected by a panel of local judges and announced at an event in Contra Costa County following the submission deadline.
“Every year, I am impressed by the artistic ability of students across Contra Costa County,” said Congressman DeSaulnier. “I look forward to once again hosting this competition and having the opportunity to see their creativity and skill on full display.”
This event is open to all high school students in California’s 11th Congressional District, and the winning piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol. The winner will be invited to Washington, D.C. to attend a national reception honoring winners from around the country. All submissions must be emailed to ryan-thomas.brown@mail.house.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 22, 2022.
Complete contest guidelines and submission forms are available on Congressman DeSaulnier’s website.

A bunch of nothing as always for this Town Clown.
Now he has a project he probably can succeed at.
Oh, joy.
Russia-Ukraine war, the threat of nuclear war, inflation, high gas prices, high housing costs, high taxes, President and VP Dinglefritz, and this putz is going to have an art competition.
I’ve nick-named mark as “milk toast”.
What the hell is wrong with these Democrats?
We’re teetering on what could be world war 3, caused by the Democrat policies and an inept president……. and this bozo is focusing attention on stupid things. Us citizens are suffering here at home and he’s more worried about this crap.
Sorry, wrong column! That was Joe Biden stuff.
But since I’m here…. Mark, I’ll have a Coors Light…order me a rubber band sandwich too, and make it snappy!
DeSaulnier is a certified POS and waste of oxygen and taxpayer’s money.
That guy never fails to prove how utterly useless he is.
Maybe the winners might strike it rich like Hunter Biden the artist.
Another example of how totally feckless and disconnected the Democrats are from working class Americans.
I hope the students draw some pictures of:
1. A motorist run out of gas on the side of the road holding a gas can.
2. A grocery shopper having to put items back on the shelves from their cart because they can’t afford them.
3. Picture of rockets and bombs being dropped in another country innocent civilians.
4. A picture of a citizen being robbed and or beaten informally safe neighborhoods.
These would surely depict what life is like since the Democrats have taken over totally.
@ Badge1104 ~ Re: #4
I’ve never been beaten and/or robbed, but if it ever happens I would prefer it happen formally, not informally. A very well dressed mugger who made an appointment to beat and rob me in a safe neighborhood would undoubtedly make the experience far more tolerable than a surprise mugging in a bad neighborhood.
Situation #2 has been replaced with, put goods into a backpack and walk out the door. No questions asked.
Joe’the buck doesn’t stop here’ Biden should have an art contest!
