Great work by our Police departments.

What ever happened to “saturday night specials” or so called junk guns? Claycord criminals got the good stuff.

Xj February 22, 2022 - 9:49 PM - 9:49 PM

It’s just a Walther 22 cal. It’s not the famed James Bond PPK in 9 mm kurz (short).

Wage Slave February 22, 2022 - 5:18 PM - 5:18 PM

It’s a PPK .22, they’re only 2 or 3 hundred bucks. More or less a Saturday night special adjusted for inflation.

I’m more interested in what business he was on and what he was doing. Camping out up there? Running from the cops? That is quite close to me.

H February 22, 2022 - 5:41 PM - 5:41 PM

Actually this is a TPH, it’s a bit smaller than the PPK. Made by Interarms in the USA.

Probably could sell one of these for around $500.

No it’s not

American Citizen February 22, 2022 - 6:11 PM - 6:11 PM

A Walther is no cheap gun Carl Walther is a highly respected name in firearms. The PPK model was used by Sean Connery in the 007 films. This is a high quality firearm and surprisingly found on a criminal. They generally carry Hi Point or other cheap guns from Lorcun, Raven or other brands.

Cellophane February 22, 2022 - 7:47 PM - 7:47 PM

It’s a Carl Walther TPH .22lr

That’s what is stamped on the gun. (I enlarged to photo).

They ain’t cheap. Found one with a 2″ barrel on the internet used for about $600.

This looks to be a 3″, they go for much more.

The hard times have even caught up with James Bond

Where is Callahan when you need him … and further more … I’ll lay 10-1 odds that pea-shooer is hot.

Randy February 22, 2022 - 6:48 PM - 6:48 PM

… not too concerned if it’s a Walther or other brand .. just thank you PH PD! 🙂

Wish they would post at least the names of these people. Maybe all their aliases too.

anon February 22, 2022 - 8:22 PM - 8:22 PM

The suspect is probably another felon with a gun.

Old Otis February 22, 2022 - 9:16 PM - 9:16 PM

Probably out already.
No bail. He had a tough childhood. BLA BLA BLA!

Now that the state of California is willingly giving away personal identification information (name, address, firearms owned, etc.) on lawful gun owners expect more guns in the hands of criminals … or more gun owners buying or using guns for personal protection.

Go ahead, make my day.

Emmbee February 23, 2022 - 8:05 PM - 8:05 PM

…why aren’t they ever “identified”? I know my vehicle was stolen with all my personal information and my belongings, and they wouldn’t give me the persons name that stole my car. I just don’t understand why they protect them…I wanted to see what they looked like in case I ever see them around again.
