He will be back out on the streets wearing an ankle monitor in two months tops.

More like he’ll be released without any monitor in under 72 hours.

probably alot sooner than that.

Was the suspect one of the ‘unhoused’ that has refused housing? We need to get those types off the street and into treatment. They should not have the option to live outdoors.

Mutts January 31, 2022 - 8:37 AM - 8:37 AM

No one talks about how so many refuse housing. Just about feeling sorry for them. He needs to do time AT NEWSOMS HOUSE.

…another meth riddled homeless wacko in that area? …no surprise here… he’ll be out on the streets by Tuesday

I think both individuals would benefit from a few evenings spent at Diana Becton’s home. Maybe she will throw a party for them.

Good Idea!

American Citizen January 31, 2022 - 10:27 AM - 10:27 AM

The homeless are literally animals. Any sense of civility is gone. Searching for their next drug fix. They will rob, assault and maim anyone in their way. Avoid them and don’t feed them!!!

Dawg January 31, 2022 - 12:14 PM - 12:14 PM

There is no comparison between animals and the filthy, uncouth homeless. Animals behave in the manner nature intended them to behave.

Ricardoh January 31, 2022 - 11:12 AM - 11:12 AM

Homeless for the most part are drug addicted vagrants that have no right to sleep on sidewalk or public land. Put them in tent camps out of sight.

Badge1104 January 31, 2022 - 1:21 PM - 1:21 PM

American Citizen, Dawg & Ricardo are all correct! This is true! Sounds mean but I’ve been helping the homeless for over a year and I realize that both are worthless and are not going to change as long as we keep catering to them. They’re using the system.
Most all are strong able-bodied younger men who could be working for Union digging ditches for good pay.
You just wait and watch, even Governor newsom’s 7 billion towards the homeless will not change it one bit.
There are a few good who have truly fallen on hard luck but they are probably less than 10%.

Single, homeless men with no attachment to the community have always been viewed as a threat to the same and have historically been removed by the police. They’re driven beyond the city or county line and told to move on.

The vast majority are not John Rambo just looking for a meal. And it’s not the old days when it was people down on their luck or simply drunks. These people are smart enough to seek help and take advantage of housing opportunities

The homeless today are psychotics and drug addicts and many are very violent. Never engage these people.

They should be housed, against their will, if necessary. That includes addicts who refuse help.
